I’m glad you found me! Perhaps you are like me, eager for a Camino-like experience because your European travel plans were sidelined by the Covid-19 pandemic. Or, maybe you have never walked the ancient pilgrimage routes and would like to get a taste of the experience, but with the familiarity and accessibility of the American west.

In 2018 and 2019 I walked a portion of the ancient Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile long pilgrimage route that ends in northern Spain. In 2020, my plans to finish the last 300 miles were postponed by travel restrictions. So, with legs itching to walk, I piloted a route from my hometown in Gardnerville, Nevada to Reno, Nevada, accompanied by a fellow veteran of the Camino de Santiago.

One of the beautiful dimensions of the Camino experience is the spontaneous evolution of a “group of strangers” into a “community of walkers” over several days of walking together. This is one reason I created this website and share this route with others. In 2021, I will welcome a few “new friends” to join me in a 5-day walk. If you are interested in joining me, get in touch through the Contact link or join the facebook group “Mini Camino to Reno 2021” https://www.facebook.com/groups/1057542917975081

If you would like to make your own journey, get in touch and we can discuss the route and details.
